PASS – Prince Albert Skills School

Usher is a 19-year-old who has thrived at the school for the last five years. While he arrived at the school with certain practical skills, he enjoys the hands-on approach. From gardening and cooking to welding and woodwork, he continues to expand his knowledge while getting practical experience. Balancing part-time work in town along with coming to school, Usher’s sights are set on improving himself for a better future. During his time at the school, he has learned to appreciate the structured environment that fosters his inner peace. With a love for the outdoors, he plans to travel someday and maybe explore wood-art.

“He is a very hardworking man. You have to take the equipment away from him at the end of the day because he will just keep on working, making him a very enduring worker. One can leave him alone to work in the garden, and he will know what to do. He is very reliable and humble.” – Teacher Barends
