Devinicia “Fabi” Botes is a seventeen-year-old who joined the school in 2023. She loves the embroidery classes and is currently learning to make blankets. Another favorite activity is eating! Students have a schedule and take turns to cook for the group twice a day (breakfast and lunch). She is eager to learn more recipes. A new skill she has acquired over the past year is welding. While she does not see herself doing it as a profession one day, she enjoys working with her hands and learning new skills. Fabi’s confidence and skills have grown significantly since joining the school. She finds peace in art and particularly enjoys making cement bowls for pot plants and dolls out of plastic bottles. In her free time, she spends time with her friends making TikTok videos.
